The Digital Manufacturing (DM) Team’s mission is to simplify processes and experiences to drive Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) outcomes. DM is responsible for the digital transformation of all processes across shop floor, engineering, environment, health, and safety operations. Our programs are led by user experience and design thinking to understand the journeys that our PGS customers work through daily. DM drives efficiencies in end-to-end operations by embedding predictive and prescriptive insights from artificial intelligence into our manufacturing and cross-functional applications. Role Overview:

In Digital Manufacturing, we work with our world-class manufacturing facilities to accelerate supply and help get our products to patients faster. We do this by driving efficiencies in end-to-end operations through the embedding of predictive and prescriptive insights from artificial intelligence into our manufacturing and cross-functional applications at Pfizer.

We are seeking a Senior Director, E2E Network Solutions to join the Digital Manufacturing Team. They will be responsible for spearheading ownership of solutions, products, and dashboards with broader applications than manufacturing. For example, this includes owning the Digital Operations Center (DOC) product suite as it stands today while also looking for opportunities to expand and consolidate existing DOC capabilities to merge manufacturing, quality, and supply chain processes into a seamless, data-driven insight engine. DOC is a custom-Pfizer product suite designed to be a collaboration and management tool that enables a harmonized, digital view of manufacturing operations at all levels in the PGS organization and can be accessed on multiple devices.

In addition to DOC, solutions and products under this leader include Digital Manufacturing Intelligence & AI (MDA), Connected Worker & Shop Floor (SF) Products, Predictive Operations Suite, E2E Visibility & Analytics. They will be responsible for the delivery of the products and supporting tools to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness, support process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

This role requires a strong leader who can collaborate across disciplines to integrate advanced analytics, business intelligence, predictive analytics, and AI/ML innovations into practical, scalable solutions that drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage. This team includes data scientists who can partner with PGS teams to apply statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other mathematical tools to business data.

In addition to developing new products, solutions, and dashboards, they will be expected to advance opportunities to consolidate data similar products within the existing portfolio. Furthermore, when a new dashboard or data product is requested, the lead should first evaluate whether a current tool could be used or adapted to meet the business need before adding net new solutions and products to the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Functional:

  • Lead a team of product team and collaborate with engineering teams to own, design, build, deliver, and deploy all E2E Network Performance projects for PGS. Activities include but are not limited to:
    • Technology and solution delivery & deployment within the following categories: DOC (Digital Operations Center), Connected Worker & Shopfloor, Predictive Ops (including Golden Batch), E2E Visibility & Analytics, etc.
       
  • Utilize analytics to identify opportunities for improvements, cost reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency across PGS.
  • Lead analytics teams to generate actionable insights from performance data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Oversee the development and dissemination of insightful, real-time reporting and business intelligence solutions.
  • Implement predictive models and cognitive analytics tools to forecast trends and enhance decision-making.
  • Innovate and deploy digital tools that enhance connectivity and efficiency for shop floor operations and workforce management.
  • Lead initiatives to design and deploy interactive data visualizations that communicate complex data in an understandable and actionable manner.
  • Develop robust data models that effectively contextualize data for tailored analytics applications.

Leadership:

  • Work closely with leaders across R&D, PharmSci, and other operational areas to ensure seamless integration and alignment of solutions.
  • Manage and streamline the portfolio of Data Products within this scope to create a robust, versatile portfolio of cross-functional products and solutions.
  • Lead a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operational analytics initiatives with overall business strategies.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across PGS to ensure their data needs are met and their insights are integrated into broader operational strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for tool consolidation and the creation of new, innovative solutions that deliver a competitive edge.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Operations Management, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years experience with a minimum of 7+ years in operational analytics or a related field, with significant leadership experience in a complex, multi-functional organization.
  • Expertise in data analytics tools, statistical software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Operations Management, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Exceptional ability to think strategically and analytically to solve complex operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively leading teams and presenting insights to executive management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance and foster a positive work environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading large-scale analytics projects.

Additional Information:

  • This role may require occasional travel to sites for team collaboration and stakeholder meetings.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
