A Day in the Life

• Establece los diseños iniciales y utiliza una variedad de herramientas para preparar el producto(s).
• Realiza comprobaciones de continuidad en el trabajo en proceso y en el completado.
• Puede realizar inspecciones de calidad en la línea de procesamiento de acuerdo con las especificaciones de calidad.
• Puede desensamblar, modificar, rehacer, reensamblar y probar ensamblajes y subconjuntos experimentales o prototipos de acuerdo con las especificaciones y bajo condiciones simuladas.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
• Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
• Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s).
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.

Learns operating equipment and established operational procedures.
Works on well-defined clerical tasks in distribution center.

Provide data and information when minor changes may be required based on review.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Recommended basic job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures.
