What You Will Do:

Guidehouse has an exciting opportunity in our Defense and Security Segment to support the Department of the Air Force’s core financial accounting and entitlement system. The task lead will be responsible for leading efforts at the Air Force Accounting Operations Center (AFAOC). Support includes leading teams to include the overall management and coordination of all support within the AFAOC to include providing technical direction to the government.

The Individual will regularly interact with senior government officials, staff, and will be engaged in a diverse set of program-specific tasks related to the Department's financial accounting and entitlement system. The individual should possess experience with a variety of program management responsibilities, technical proficiency, and a willingness to be flexible in supporting numerous work products and deliverables.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- FOUR (4) years of project management experience

  • TEN (10) or more years of experience in leading and providing technical direction to complex engagements within the DoD or Federal Government

  • Expertise in DoD financial management policies, processes, and procedures

  • Experience leading and developing diverse teams delivering to a DoD or Federal Government client


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Expertise in Air Force financial management policies, processes, and procedures specifically in using the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) application

  • Working knowledge of DoD and Air Force financial management and systems, processes and procedures

  • Working knowledge of DoD legacy financial management systems and processes 

  • Knowledge of Federal and Defense financial audit processes 

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong written and oral communication skills  

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
