Job Description Summary

The successful candidate  will lead Structured Trade Finance activities across  Middle East, Africa, and Asia, based in Abu Dhabi.

This role combines origination, structuring, and execution of complex structured trade finance solutions with strong people leadership, regional strategy definition, and close collaboration with client coverage, risk, and distribution teams.

The successful candidate will be accountable for driving growth, managing senior client relationships, and leading and developing a regional team, ensuring best-in-class execution and risk discipline across the portfolio.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Originate, structure, and execute Structured Trade Finance transactions across MEAA, including import and pre-export finance, prepayments, borrowing base structures, collateral financing, contract monetization, and other tailored off-balance-sheet solutions.

• Identify, analyze, and structure innovative financing solutions tailored to complex client needs and regional market dynamics.

• Perform in-depth transaction analysis (feasibility, risks, mitigants), identify key issues, and propose structuring enhancements to ensure bankability and successful execution.

• Build and maintain long-term senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity, adjusting regional strategy and sales plans to maintain a competitive edge.

• Represent the bank externally with key clients, sponsors, and market participants.

What Are We Looking For?

Experience & Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Structured Trade Finance and/or Commodity Finance, with a strong track record in complex, large-scale transactions.

• Proven experience originating and executing large mandates, including lead arranger roles.

• Relevant background in Structured Trade Finance, Commodity Finance, Investment Banking, or a closely related field.

• Strong exposure to international and emerging markets, ideally across MEA and/or Asia.

• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a strong plus.
