As an Associate Director and key member of the Power Networks Client Management team, you will prepare and deliver business plan and reporting risks through the relevant delivery groups in addition to building relationships with key client personnel. You will provide strategic advice to clients and the DM team, developing graduates up through the business and identifying opportunities accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage client or sector contracts with the view to consistently exceeding internal and external targets and taking full ownership and pride in the service provided and the people behind it.
Using advanced people, commercial and technical skillsets to resolve complex and sensitive issues and provide high-level strategic advice to both clients and internal stakeholders.
Using excellent people and communication skills to initiate and develop long term working relationships with both clients and internal staff.
Using people’s strengths and acting on feedback and suggestions to drive and improve service delivery.
Take responsibility for team time recording and client reporting whilst maximising billing and continuously seeking financial opportunities whilst always maintaining gross margin.
Demonstrate excellent commercial awareness, putting forward innovative ideas and taking responsibility for bringing in new work through networking and cross-selling of professional services with both new and existing clients.
Act as an ambassador to the company at all times. When required deliver engaging and inspiring pitches and presentations both internally and externally to support the business in delivery of the company business plan.
Embody DM’s values at all times, engendering a positive can-do attitude and influencing others so they aspire to excellence.
Provide supportive line management (if applicable), holding regular constructive one to ones, empowering individuals by recognising their achievements, encouraging feedback and delegating effectively whilst also being able to hold difficult conversations.
Actively support and participate in company groups, initiatives, events and socials.
Maintain and improve own strategic knowledge and skills through specialist CPD.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements and policies in own area of responsibility.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience of the application and construction elements of a major project and be able to demonstrate experience of managing client relationships and finances to help deliver each client’s Business Plan goals.
Display clear commercial awareness and contribute to team and company growth by generating new work from new and existing clients through networking and cross-selling of professional services
Lead by example, actively promoting the company’s ethos and always engendering positivity to get the best out of people
Actively support and participate in company groups, initiatives, events and socials
Maintain and improve own expert knowledge and skills through company run and specialist CPD
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements and policies in own area of responsibility
Previous Line management experience, with strong leadership capability and a willingness to mentor and coach wider team members
Agricultural knowledge couple with the principles of land ownership law and valuations
