We’re looking for a Director of Global CPG Accounts to lead and build our first dedicated Global Partnerships team. Reporting to the US VP, CPG Sector Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the business with Pinterest’s top Global CPG partners. You will be working closely with cross-functional partners to drive business results for our clients while delivering globally aligned growth. You will be managing a team of senior sellers and be part of the Senior Leadership team. You will be representing Pinterest externally and be our voice in the industry for global CPG topics and events.
About the Team
Our newly formed Global Account team works with leading multinational CPG partners to deliver innovative technology solutions and serve to advocate and educate the market to help accelerate the overall growth of Pinterest Global Sales Organization.
We are looking for a global professional to lead our Global Accounts Team. The team plays a critical role in establishing and leading strategic partnerships between Pinterest and top global brands. This team is consultative in nature and leads the strategic, long-term growth of each global account. The Director of Global CPG Accounts will own and nurture C-level and senior business client-side relationships, along with a team of senior Client Partners, and will partner with Pinterest’s regional and local Sales Leadership to drive platform growth.
What you’ll do:
- Build on established relationships and develop new relationships with key global client executives, global partnerships teams, and regional leadership teams to drive global comprehension and alignment
- Close strategic GLOBAL partnerships and scale revenue with CPG advertisers across all markets. Drive leadership alignment and executive focus both globally and in key regions in order to effectively grow Pinterest’s share of wallet with top “must win” global brands
- Drive sales operational excellence across key metrics and leading sales indicators according to the annual and quarterly business plan. Build repeatable tools and GTM playbooks for this newly established dedicated global team that is responsible for all global revenue across monetized markets
- Lead the Global CPG Account team by building, training and motivating a high performing, diverse sales team of senior Client Partners, based on an inclusive, positive culture
- Partner closely with Sales Operations and Measurement teams to analyze data trends and client performance, as to scale shared learnings and best practices to grow client’s business through Pinterest solutions
- As part of our CPG leadership team, contribute to the success of the vertical through collaborating across sub-verticals, regions and sales teams
- Act as an external spokesperson and evangelize our value proposition in key Global Account headquarters (London, New York, Paris)
What we're looking for:
- 15 or more years of experience in the digital media industry, with 7 or more years of management experience
- Strong team player with experience in successfully leading marketing or sales teams
- Ability to work with executive level business and marketing leaders within client organizations
- Established industry leader with strong network amongst CPG companies
- Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
- Strong focus on operational excellence by having introduced new performance measures, processes, and systems
- Outstanding go-to-market strategy and operational rigor to drive the successful execution of the sales business priorities
- Strong leadership skills that inspire, drive urgency and challenge sales teams to think big and drive transformational thinking to advance team performance, health, and an inclusive culture.
- Strong cross-functional partnership to drive discussions with the product and engineering teams driving alignment. Translating business needs into the roadmap. Have opinions about the technology trade-offs
- Strong influencing skills to build and direct sales priorities and decisions
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate insights, product information, and data into key client objectives
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a growth environment and incubating new businesses
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as management, or equivalent experience
- A passion for Pinterest and its mission
