The Director, Ticketing Strategy & Analytics, is responsible for deriving data insights that support primary and secondary market pricing and strategic growth initiatives. This position will collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including marketing, sales, event leadership, and ticketing, to develop a year-round strategy for ticket pricing for events.

The Director will lead analytical initiatives with the goal of driving crisp, actionable insights to all stakeholders that deliver high-end results in dynamic pricing, special offers, and promotions. This role combines technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to influence outcomes across stakeholders and serves as the primary liaison for the Fan Research & Analytics team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in data strategy, analytics, or business intelligence role, preferably within a major professional/collegiate sports team or league (NHL, MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, NCAA).

  • Proven management/leadership experience required

  • Strong technical proficiency including: Advanced Tableau skills, including dashboard development and visualization best practices

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Intermediate-to-advanced SQL proficiency

  • Experience with Python or R, or AI development applications (e.g. Cursor) preferred (for statistical modeling, automation, or data manipulation)

  • Familiarity with fan data platforms, CRM systems, or ticketing data ecosystems a plus

  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred, but not required

  • Ability to distill complex data into simple, actionable insights for senior leadership

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build trusted partnerships

  • Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools required, as well as familiarity with accounting procedures and principles

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Lead the execution of enterprise-wide ticketing, pricing, and revenue optimization strategies in partnership with Marketing, Ticketing, Events, and Executive Leadership, aligning short- and long-term business objectives across the PGA TOUR event portfolio.

  • Establish the strategic vision and governance framework for ticket sales performance analytics, directing the development of executive-level dashboards, forecasting models, KPI reporting, and actionable insights to drive revenue growth and business decision-making.

  • Own ticket sales strategy initiatives, overseeing relationships with third-party partners and vendors related to dynamic pricing, secondary market strategy, travel packages, ticket distribution channels and event data consolidation.

  • Partner with leadership and tournament stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and fan acquisition, retention, and monetization.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration among Event Operations, Marketing, Sponsorship, Finance, Analytics, and Technology teams to ensure strategic alignment, seamless execution, and achievement of organizational growth objective.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, consumer insights, and emerging market opportunities to inform strategic recommendations and maintain the PGA TOUR's leadership position in ticketing innovation.

  • Implement strategic business initiatives and performance goals to deliver measurable results and continuous improvement across the ticketing function.
