What you'll do...

About Walmart Business

Walmart Business is a new omnichannel experience to save businesses, nonprofits and public sector entities time, money, and hassle so they can focus on their missions.  We leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers.  We’re bringing together the Every Day Low Prices, assortment, omnichannel capabilities, and store footprint of Walmart with new experiences and functionality tailored to the unique needs of organizations.

It's an exciting time to join as we accelerate and scale our business.  You'll lead the drive for increased operational discipline across our business, and deliver impact by working in partnership with Business, Product, UX, and Engineering teams in Walmart Business—as well as with Walmart US and Corporate Functions.  You’ll have the chance to be an intrapreneur and build something truly impactful while being backed by the strength of Walmart and having access to the assets of the world's largest omnichannel retailer.

Your scope will include:

  • Leading our Weekly Business Review (WBR) and Monthly Business Review (MBR)—from what we report, to how we run the meetings, to closing the loop on action items—to ensure we deliver to plan and engage in hypothesis-based learning.
  • Setting and tracking quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) across the entire business to ensure we focus on the highest impact initiatives and stretch for improved performance.
  • Tracking major deliverables across the business, and identifying and flagging execution risks for resolution on an ongoing basis.
  • Aligning with Business, Product, UX and Tech leaders on team priorities and capacity planning to ensure teams focus on the most impactful work.
  • Managing a cross-functional quarterly calendar and utilizing digital tools (Airtable, Confluence, Teams) to ensure teams are aligned on launches and critical milestones.
  • Measuring actual business outcomes vs. expected business outcomes of major product launches and other initiatives—and feed the insights back into our planning and prioritization processes to improve our decision making and quantification.
  • Driving key team meeting cadences—Monthly Extended Leadership Group, Monthly Business Team Meeting, Quarterly All Hands Meeting—to ensure consistent messaging and engagement across the organization.
  • Identifying opportunities for more effective cross-functional collaboration across the business, and establishing processes for seamless execution.
  • Taking on selected special projects requiring extra attention to get off to the right start, overcome roadblocks, and deliver critical outcomes.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Improving operational discipline and business performance through refining and optimizing our operational “drumbeat.”
  • Developing and enhancing program management processes and tools to improve transparency and efficiency across the team (e.g., team-wide calendar, AirTable, etc.)
  • Instilling and reinforcing accountability and timely execution.
  • Acting with urgency, taking ownership and finding a way.
  • Advocating for customers and overall business success in various settings.

We’re looking for a dynamic leader who is…

  • A strong communicator who can adjust their messaging and approach to different audiences.
  • A tenacious operator who is extremely organized, chases down details, and ensures timelines and deliverables are met.
  • A relentless leader who helps raise the bar for performance across the board.
  • An excellent colleague who can work cross-functionally with different types of teams.
  • Prior retail experience is a plus
