Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart's Corporate Security Team ensures the safety and security enterprise-wide and plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Through a combination of advanced technology, comprehensive training, and strategic partnerships, the team works diligently to protect Walmart's assets, employees, and customers from a wide range of security threats. The Director, Corporate Security plays a critical, strategic role leading out front and representing the company at the highest levels to ensure comprehensive security solutions are executed with care and precision collaborating across various internal and external teams, public and private agencies.

What you’ll do… 

  • Direct and lead Corporate Security Managers and Specialists in providing 24/7 coverage to all areas of responsibility, i.e. corporate offices, enterprise data centers, aviation, dispatch, patrol, utility plants, etc. by identifying and formulating security processes to streamline efficiency and effectiveness for corporate facility operations.  Direct the tactical security response during life safety events and incidents in corporate facilities to support the physical security and safety of Associates, visitors, facilities, and assets. 
  • Develop and leverage relationships with law enforcement, fire/emergency responders, community support services and other business partners to promote a safe working environment and to collaborate during possible threatening or other emergent situations.
  • Direct department and corporate meetings; develop and conduct training for department and company leadership on corporate security related issues, i.e., workplace safety, security awareness, etc.  Manage and deliver security related briefings to department and corporate leadership; ensure compliance with corporate diversity initiatives.

  • Collaborate with key business partners, peers, leaders, and direct reports across the global enterprise to confirm operational expectations are being met, exceptions are being addressed and the business is being supported in an efficient manner.
  • Engage associates within and outside of the organization in order to support development, understand concerns and to connect with resources when appropriate.
  • Develop and implement Corporate Security strategies and tactics to ensure execution is in alignment with expectations, to identify efficiencies, and to leverage effectiveness.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Risk Management, or related field and 5 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area. 1 year’s supervisory experience.
