General Responsibilities:

Keep in standard conditions the equipment that depend of a programmable system, in complying with the procedures(document 4A05000)

Complying with the legal requirements of software and/or copyright of licenses used in manufacturing equipment and critical systems.

Complying with the legal requirements of software’s usages and or licenses owner used in manufacturing equipment’s and critical systems.

Participate with continues updating of the yearly maintenance plan.

Collaborate with updating the spare parts list and available materials of the equipment’s with control systems.

Responsible to generate the audit reports for production equipment’s.

Update the procedures and policies related with control and automation processes.

Support emergent issues (correctives) in the execution of work orders to satisfy requirements, assigning task, resources, and spares to complete the work orders related with automation and control aspects.

Participate in groups of work related to automation process with colleagues of other operational units if is required.

Changes on Machinery under warranty will be handling through manufacturer and those updates should be required to be documented in the procedures. Comply with the regulations of PLC and HMI programs of validated and not validated machinery.

Make sure that all Test and Measurement equipment have been calibrated by QC..

Process control specifications are followed and process control is properly recorded.

Responsible to fix any problem related to the programs in the equipment and installations, and contact with Denmark or machinery manufactures if is required. Investigate and fix malfunctions of equipment and systems.

To make sure that production requirements are met.

Comply with those applicable requirements of the ISO 13485 & FDA GMP Standards.

He is responsible for training and registers the training to new technicians and engineers, should record that training.

Responsible to train and document the training of the operators in the safety handling of the equipment.

Meet with Company and Government Safety regulations.

To comply with our quality policy.

Responsible of doing continuous improvements activities on the current machinery and new ones.

Keep PLC programs updated when improvements are done.

Keep HMI programs updated if an improvement is done.

Monitor the OEE to know if a problem needs to be fixed or an improvement. Support on the scrap reduction caused by machinery issues.

Collaborate on the data analysis of down time as much as its solutions. Analyze repetitive failures on machinery and make changes if are required. Complete projects assigned.

Training personnel when projects are in the technical phase.

Optimize cycle time on machines according to demands and if it is possible.

Powers:

To take corrective actions when process is out of specification limits.

To repair, maintain and make any changes necessary to make the equipment work properly.

Report immediately any mal function of the equipment and systems to the immediate supervisor / technical person.

To be the Safety leader in the handling of the equipment.

Stop and fix process when it is out of specification limits or quality could be compromised.

To report delays in delivery due to problems that needs to be fixed in regards of electric, pneumatic and automated systems.

EHS:

To comply with safety, health and environment policy

Maintain general awareness of the CVT’s EHS policy and supporting standards. Understand EHS risks and applicable legal requirements associated with their job responsibilities and the appropriate controls in place to manage those risks and requirements.

Carry out job responsibilities with due professional care and in compliance with legal requirements and internal standards without compromising their own safety or that of others.

Be alert to EHS hazards in the workplace, responding to them as appropriate and communicating them to responsible management as they are identified (e.g., spills).

Participate in training, awareness and community initiatives as appropriate. Help drive continuous EHS performance improvement by suggesting potential improvements to responsible management.

Requirements:

Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering

Experience on maintenance of manufacturing equipment’s and/or integration of industrial automated equipment’s.

Programming media and high level (ladder diagrams, mechanic, pneumatic and control electric integration)

Instrumentation, AutoCAD, MS project, and Microsoft Office.

Micro controller handling, PLC’s (Omron Cx-One and RS-Logix 5000).

HMI programming (Cx Designer and Factory Talk)

Skills to document the control of changes on manufacturing equipment’s. Abilities to program Servo drives

Fluent English

Knowledge of basic requirements of FDA QSR's GMP's and ISO 13485 or similar regulations, preferred.

Analyze and problems solving of equipment required.
