JOB PURPOSE

As an EDI Technical Lead, you will play a critical role maintaining and enhancing the company’s various EDI applications and efforts. This role will be responsible for Electronic Data Interchange (“EDI”) mapping, business process development, system administration, and onboarding management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Lead team of EDI coordinators 
  •  Architect new business interfaces with detail design and considering the reusability /refactoring in design
  • Conduct test in Pre-Production environments and test case management
  • Responsible for Electronic Data Interchange (“EDI”) Mapping, BP Business Process Development, System Administration, Trading Partner (“TP”) onboarding Management.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate EDI trading partners and 3rd-party vendors requirements and internal/external user needs for process improvement, upgrade, system implementation, system enhancement, or issue resolution
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Utilize standard Project Life Cycle (“PLC”) templates to write process documentation and technical specification
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including unit, system, and integration, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
  •  Provide orientation to end users for all modified and new systems
  •  Support EDI and all internal/external trading partners and business units
  •  Strong analytical and communication skills
  •  Knowledge on Python/PowerShell/Perl scripting is desired
  •  Prior experience working on a cross functional project team desired
  •  Prior experience with API/ Web Services Integrations is desired

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years
  • Level of Education: BA/BS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  •  Knowledge of Database management ( PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc…) is desired
  •  Understanding of Azure DevOps, SVN, Gitlab, pipelines and deployment is desired
  • Proficiency with any Integration Software (Cleo Integration Cloud/ Cleo Clarify/ Mulesoft/ Biztalk/ Boomi/ IBM B2Bi) is desired
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  •  Knowledge on Python/PowerShell/Perl scripting is desired
  •  Prior experience working on a cross functional project team desired
  •  Prior experience with API/ Web Services Integrations is desired
  • Business and technical knowledge with practical experience in Transportation/Logistics X12 EDI Transactions
  • Experience with EDI mapping for 204, 990, 214, 210
  • Knowledge of internet applications and networks is preferred
  • Ability to build and execute select statements within Microsoft SQL Server

SCHEDULING

  • This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. An employee in this position must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods. 

TRAVEL

  • Travel to locations on an as needed basis.
