KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Performs delegated patient care activities using evidence-based practice and specific competencies for the patient population served Checks patients’ vital signs, height, and weight, as needed, based on patient type Provides compassionate care and listens to patients’ concerns and guides them by answering any questions or concerns Identifies and escalates changes in patient status or patient risks to prevent crisis Collects clinical data and information on patients and reports to care team Repositions, transfers, ambulates and transports patients Assists patients with basic needs (such as hygiene, eating, using the restroom, and dressing) Obtains and reports patient intake and output Performs electrocardiograms (ECGs) as directed Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection Provides care that is age appropriate, culturally specific, and developmentally appropriate in an environment that promotes patient safety Demonstrates professional and therapeutic relationships with patients, families, team members, and providers
