Pay Range: $22-$25 (based on experience)

Shift Differential Offered:

Animal Emergency Hospital is seeking an Experienced Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician looking to take their skills to the next level! Animal Emergency Hospital is a fast-paced Emergency Hospital that is dedicated to the care of our patients and their families. This experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician must feel comfortable and confident working through the night with no doctor in the clinic. The doctor will be readily available on-call. There will be an assistant with you on every shift. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with critical thinking, critical anesthesia, CRIs, transfusion medicine, oxygen therapy, feeding tubes, and exceptional patient care abilities, and all other duties performed during emergency situations.

This overnight position does not have active in-take after 8:00 pm Monday - Friday and not after midnight on Saturday and Sunday. This LVT would be caring for the patients who were hospitalized during the daytime hours, taking over surgery as needed, and getting the hospital stocked and ready for the next day.

  • Shifts are 12 hours (8 pm-8 am) Part time is an option

Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician; license must be current in the state of Michigan.
  • 2-3 years of veterinary technician experience in ER
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work holidays.
