About Brain Co.

Brain Co. is an Applied AI startup co-founded by Elad Gil with other tech luminaries and backed by many of Silicon Valley’s leading builders—including Patrick Collison (CEO of Stripe), Andrej Karpathy (Cofounder of OpenAI), Mike Krieger (CPO of Anthropic), Kevin Weil (CPO of OpenAI), and Aravind Srinivas (CEO of Perplexity).

We are building AI applications for the world’s most important institutions—delivering impact on real-world problems.

Our progress so far:

  • Automated construction permitting for a sovereign government → 80% faster, unlocking $375M+ in value

  • Optimized supply chains for a leading global energy company → 30% lower cost, 99% reliability, preventing $100M+ in losses

  • Streamlined hospital patient care across national health systems → 40% better outcomes, 80% less admin work

  • Raised a $55M Series A from top investors

  • Built a team of 40+ AI experts from Tesla, Google DeepMind, NVIDIA, and Databricks

  • At Brain Co., your work will be deployed in the real world, not stuck in research. We move fast, with more demand than we can serve, and are looking for exceptional people to take ownership from day one.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Government Strategy & Partnerships Lead to help bring Brain Co.’s AI products into state, local, and federal government organizations. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and report to Marne Levine, COO, to develop relationships across government networks, unlock pilot programs, and navigate the complex processes required to deploy technology in public sector environments. This role is ideal for someone who understands the intersection of government operations, policy, and technology and wants to help modernize how public institutions operate.

What You’ll Do

  • Build relationships with leaders across state, local, and federal government

  • Navigate government procurement, contracting, and policy processes

  • Identify opportunities to pilot Brain Co. products with public sector partners

  • Develop partnerships with organizations such as mayoral offices, state agencies, and national government associations

  • Work closely with Brain Co. product and engineering teams to align government needs with product capabilities

  • Help design and scale our public sector go-to-market strategy

  • Build networks across civic, policy, and government communities

Who You Are

We are open to a range of backgrounds, including:

  • Former government officials or staff (mayor’s office, governor’s office, federal agencies)

  • Public sector technology leaders or SLED sales professionals

  • Policy operators or regulatory experts

  • Government affairs or lobbying professionals

  • Operators with deep networks across state and local government

You likely bring:

  • Deep understanding of how government institutions operate

  • Strong relationships across public sector networks

  • Experience navigating government procurement or contracting

  • Ability to operate in fast-moving startup environments

  • Curiosity about applying AI and emerging technologies to real-world problems

Why This Role Matters

Governments run some of the most critical systems in society, but often operate with outdated tools and infrastructure. At Brain Co., we believe frontier AI can dramatically improve how public institutions serve their communities. You’ll play a key role in helping bring those capabilities to life.
