Job Summary
The Perioperative Services Support Technician performs a variety of duties related to maintaining the operating room/procedure room including but not limited to the following: restocking supply cabinets, cleaning equipment, and assisting on tasks outlined in Room turnover PIT Stop Model. Assists the RN in patient transfer, positioning and prepping. Setting up each operating room for equipment and beds based on patient age and needs. Transports patients from one location to another and transporting specimens, stat labs and retrieving blood products. Assist Core tech as needed. The job requires some clerical duties: answer calls, deliver messages and checks E mail. Takes emergency on-call.Pay Range
Minimum $28.00 Midpoint $28.00 Maximum $29.00Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
* Required: Minimum one (1) year of previous experience working in a hospital setting.
* Preferred: One (1) year of previous experience of working in a surgical environment. Previous experience in pediatric patient transportation and Pediatric Surgical environment.
Education
* Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
Training
* Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
* Required: Ability to prioritize and complete duties in a timely and organized manner: ability to work collaboratively and in a positive manner with others; demonstrate flexibility and creativity in response to unexpected changes in work load/staffing. Excellent communication skills.
* Preferred: Bilingual - English/ Spanish.
Licensure
* Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
