Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Security Analyst

REPORTS TO: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

As a Security Analyst, your primary responsibility is to support and help safeguard EROAD’s data, systems, and services. Working as part of the Information Security team, you will monitor, review, and support activities that protect our business and our customers, and contribute to continuous improvement of our security posture.

SCOPE

As a Security Analyst, you will:

  • Lead and support risk management activities, vendor security reviews, responding to customer security questionnaires.

  • Build automation scripts (Python skills essential).

  • Monitor vulnerability scanning results, IAM reviews, patch management checks, blue teaming, and work with teams for remediation.

  • Maintain documentation, support compliance evidence gathering, and contribute to security maturity assessments.

  • Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts (XDR, CNAPP, IDS, external scans, dark web) - including tuning and improving detection systems.

  • Assist with security incident response - from investigation and containment to post-incident reviews and reporting.

  • Respond to client security information requests and questionnaires.

Support security awareness and training initiatives, participate in team-based improvement activities, and assist with various security operations and projects as needed.

EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in a security analyst or equivalent technical security role.

  • Technical experience with Python for automations and some understanding of the Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security frameworks.

  • Hands-on with security tools like XDR, vulnerability scanning, CNAPP.

  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Solid teamwork with a desire to help others in the team and great communication skills.

Optionally, relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CISSP, or working towards) are a plus.
