PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

What We Do

Product Management partners with game development, publishing, marketing, and platform teams to provide a data and market-driven view of product strategy that aligns with business goals. As part of Epic’s Growth Team, we use our product expertise to identify and drive growth levers to grow our player base and business.

What You'll Do

As Senior Director, Player Experience, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to help drive the development of the user facing marketplaces and our developer tools for the Epic Games Store across PC, MAC, with a major focus on Android and iOS. You will be a hands-on leader, responsible for prioritizing and tackling issues across the Epic Games Store web, mobile and launcher based products and our self service publishing tools to provide an excellent user experience that drives growth and efficiency. This leader will use both creative and analytical skills to identify opportunities, define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, support roadmap development, and contribute to strategic planning.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and refine the roadmap for Epic Games Store across all platforms and our Self Service Publishing developer tools, prioritizing the work that needs to get done, building out the product strategy, requirements, and aligning with the engineering and Epic Games Store cross functional teams to execute against those initiatives
  • Assess areas of opportunity and improvement across the store, including distribution and reach on Mobile/PC, performance of the launcher, search performance, purchase flow, backend, developer onboarding, personalization, and community features etc
  • Assess areas of opportunity to drive innovation on the Epic Games Store that will propel the end-to-end player experience beyond our competitors
  • Partner closely with leadership, strategy and Epic’s insights team to establish marketplace KPIs the demonstrate the impact of all player experience improvements and report that progress upward to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with marketing and other consumer team partners on go-to-market strategies and execution for new feature releases
  • Quickly build trust on the development side that allows for close collaboration. Partner closely with the Online team to design, implement, and optimize the EGS strategy
  • Ensure the Epic and EGS brand remains premium and relevant and enact plans that put it at the forefront of culture

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of Product Management experience leading consumer-facing online marketplace(s) that utilized both a mobile and web format
  • Experience leading a successful marketplace that is distributed on mobile apps
  • Experience in building and optimizing seller onboarding tools is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Experience analyzing large data-sets to identify actionable insights; Excel and SQL proficiency is required; Tableau proficiency is a plus
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; including experience writing concept pitches and product requirement documents
  • Experience managing and mentoring a high performing team focused on ecommerce and marketplaces
