ChampionX has an immediate need for a Process Technician I located in Singapore. This is your opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits.
What You will do:
Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Ensures that equipment is maintained in good operating condition and that employees are trained in proper safety procedures before operations.
Notifies appropriate plant personnel in emergency. Takes emergency action on own authority according to standard operating procedures.
Reports to the Production Supervisor or shift group leader and communicate with the other units on the shift to meet all manufacturing priorities and customers’ expectations.
Works closely with the Group Leader, DCS Board Operators, and other Unit Operators to fulfill daily activities.
Operates batch processing equipment which may include pumps, valves, manual charges to the reactors, transfers to or from storage tanks, vacuum systems, pumps, charging systems, bulk loading and packaging systems, forklifts, etc.
Supports the Unit DCS board operator with the controls and monitoring of the process and operations of unit equipment.
Ensures line-ups are correct before materials are transferred or charged.
Update batch data, Field logging and Material records on Digitalized equipment provided.
Enters Batch Data into SAP for products and raw materials.
Reports thorough safety and operational information to the next shift during shift changes.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly unit inspections.
Ensures process equipment is maintained through the work order system.
Loads and unloads bulk shipments of raw materials and finished products. Ensures that outgoing products are tested and shipped in drums or bulk according to specifications and regulations.
Labels and placards packaged material in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
Assists with the proper handling of plant / unit wastes as necessary.
Supports the guiding principles of Responsible Care to continually improve Championx EHCP plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, and efforts to respond to public concerns relating to design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.
Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.
To run and ensure optimal operation of utility system such cooling tower water system, vent scrubber, flare, air compressor, nitrogen and etc.
Supports process improvement initiatives.
Supports plant commissioning, start-up, shutdown, project implementation and maintenance activities.
Position Details
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shift
Applicants must be willing to work in Jurong Island
Minimum Requirements
4 years of related chemical production experience
Batch manufacturing experience is a plus
N Level/O level /NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Self-starter with a strong focus on safety and quality
Effective team player with good problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shift
Knowledge of emergency response in relation to handling to chemical spills, fire and medical situations.
