TITLE:              DC Strategic Optimization Specialist

JOB LOCATION:  869 Quaker Hwy, Uxbridge, MA 01569

DUTIES:  The DC Strategic Optimization Specialist is responsible for collaborating with BJ’s internal business units, as well as key vendor partners, to develop and execute strategies that will drive

efficiencies for the organization and, as a result, reduce total Ambient DC operations costs. This is accomplished using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and

enhance DC operations processes. The Specialist is responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support the

organization’s strategic priorities and objectives. Additionally, the specialist is required to create dashboards and contribute towards automation solutions that streamline data visibility within

the organization.

•Gather and interpret relevant data (costs, productivity, volume patterns, etc.) from a variety of sources

•Investigate problems, root cause analysis, and develop solutions

•Develop performance reporting and Dashboards on Excel and Tableau and distribute them to key distribution operations stakeholders

•Provide analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals

•Coordinate Ambient DC Operations activities between various key stakeholders as required

•Implement automation solutions within the Ambient DC network reporting

•Provide analysis of KPI’s for the DC operations network

•Support the Promotions and Omni-Channel DC operations processes by providing data analysis

•Responsible for providing analysis and reporting to provide inventory visibility throughout the Ambient DC network

•Creating and maintaining a centralized sharepoint site

•Support new initiatives with data analysis and reporting

•Support the Ambient DC‘s OP and RP processes by providing reporting packages to FP&A and Logistics teams

•Provide comprehensive tracking for high priority and high-profile initiatives and programs

•Provide support to the Planning & Allocation, Transportation and DCs team as needed

REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related or foreign equivalent, plus 1 year of experience in supply chain analysis.

Experience must include: 1 year in performance analysis utilizing Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SAP and ERP systems, to support cross-functional coordination across supply chain

network. Experience in creation of automated visualizations and dashboards. Track record of working cross-functionally to develop, test, and roll out new initiatives that provide

stakeholders with clear and actionable data streamlining processes; experience may be gained concurrently.
