Salary Range:

$114,000.00 - $148,000.00

What’s the role?

We are looking for a Marketing Addressability Project Manager to join our Growth Marketing Team in Brooklyn. This role will coordinate work related to our Ad Privacy and Audience programs, across multiple vendors, marketing channel teams, engineering squads, and ad agencies. The person will work closely with internal and external partners to coordinate privacy-related technical integrations, and adaptations to new industry and regulatory restrictions. You will plan and facilitate privacy-related tech work that spans multiple internal technology teams. You will collaborate with internal tech and analytics partners, and external vendors, to improve Etsy’s audience targeting capabilities. You will help also educate internal teams about audience targeting capabilities and track requests for new audiences. You can converse with marketing, technical, and analytical teams.
 

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Addressability and Privacy. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. 

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What’s this team like at Etsy?

The Performance Marketing team is responsible for converting new buyers and driving existing buyers to shop more frequently on the Etsy website and apps. We lead all aspects of the Global strategy and execution across a mix of demand-capture and demand generation channels to deliver measurable results. Our team is part of the larger Growth Marketing function within the Marketing org.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Define and socialize process for privacy and audience work (e.g. new project requests, privacy reviews, audience requests), coordinating with Growth Marketing, Martech, Privacy Engineering, and Privacy Counsel teams

  • Define cross-functional / cross-squad communication cadence

  • Help ensure Growth Marketing and Martech teams are aware of and follow established processes

  • Build and update project plans for privacy work: track status and dependencies for in-progress work across Performance Marketing, Martech, Analytics, and other teams, as well as vendors; flag delays and project risks. Follow up with contributors and stakeholders to ensure deliverable deadlines are met and blockers are flagged and addressed

  • Send out weekly or bi-weekly status updates, and maintain the internal sites where all stakeholders review project updates

  • Act as the centralized point of contact for ad platform privacy discussions across internal Marketing, Martech, Analytics teams; ad platforms; and agencies. Ensure teams are aligned on priorities. Provide project context and key details, as appropriate, to maintain progress and alignment. Record key decisions and action items from privacy- and signal-related conversations across teams.

  • Coordinate cross-team comms with vendors: route inbound and outbound questions about data signals to the appropriate teams.

  • Act as go-to coordinator for urgent Privacy work: ensure the right people are consulted for critical business decisions, and that stakeholders understand priorities and impacts.

  • Partner with the Privacy Program Manager to implement new privacy law requirements and distill those into technical requirements for Martech or other teams

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 3+ years experience managing technical software projects. Experience working on large-scale, fast-paced, and rapidly-changing projects

  • A great communicator, able to work with partners and stakeholders with a wide range of technical and marketing experience, and explain complicated technical projects to them

  • Experience tracking projects and creating workflows using project management software like Jira, Monday.com, Asana, Airtable. Ability to clearly track and communicate next steps, todos, and blockers

  • Highly collaborative, and operate with integrity, confidence, and empathy

  • Passionate about the Etsy marketplace, and care deeply about customer experience

  • Experience in Marketing Technology. Familiar with how advertisers pass ad targeting and optimization signals to ad platforms via SDKs and APIs.
