Job Description Summary:

This position provides classroom and lab instruction for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course for clinical associates. The ACLS instructor valuates learner's needs and skills for both evaluation of class requirements and individual learning needs. Works to create environment conducive to learning. Instructor collaborates with Simulationist to facilitate learning through various forms of experiential learning. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the associate's supervisor.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Educator/Facilitator a. Integrates principles of adult learning, and quality management into educational offerings. b. Prepares educational material and facilitates ACLS educational offerings to meet the needs of target audiences at OhioHealth c. Collaborates with Simulationist to facilitate learning through various forms of experiential learning d. Evaluates program design to achieve desired level of competence and critical thinking while addressing learners individual learning need se. Creates a positive learning environment to promote a positive learning experience 10 % : Project Management/Change Agenta. Utilizes resources needed to implement educational offerings within established budget. b. Implements education on new processes, equipment, policy c. Participates in ongoing educational planning meetings d. Supports the integration of research into evidenced-based practices e. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Certified EMT-Paramedic in Ohio. BLS Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life support Provider, and Instructor. strong teaching, verbal and written communication skills. Basic use of AV equipment video projector, DVD, laptop computer). Computer skills, including presentation software (PowerPoint) database and Microsoft word. A minimum of 2 years Experience in a clinical setting.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Ohio RN license. Knowledge of adult learning principals, education and curriculum development. Teaching experience in the clinical setting. Experience with experiential and instructional learning.
