$33.00 - $42.90The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for setting up interventional radiology (IR) rooms specific to the study being conducted. Utilizes customer service skills while interacting with patients as well as family members to create a caring atmosphere during their visit.TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed.
- Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors in order to produce a high quality image.
- Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider. Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure.
- Observes each patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to meet his or her age-specific needs.
- Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider.
- Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transferboards, hover mats.
- Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
- Completes and bills for studies accurately
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Maintains current NYS licensure and ARRT certification with CE credits as required. One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
