22.77 - 27.32 USD Per Hour

San Jose: North San Jose Center (In-Person Position)

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday-Friday, AM Shift

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

  • High School completion required; Associate’s degree in a Social Services field preferred.
  • Parent, other relative, or friend of a consumer of mental health or other social services; OR two (2) years of experience in mental health or Social Services or public housing fields. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

NOTE: This position requires driving from home to home, working with clients in the community, and transporting clients in personal vehicles.

Must possess a valid California Driver's License and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

The Resource Specialist works directly with youth and families who are referred to Starlight Community Services. The Specialist clients, and families in identifying and accessing resources for housing, Family Finding, social supports, and any other identified needed services

Division/Program Overview:

  • The program sees adults (18+) and older adults.  
  • It is a FULLY community-based program - all services happen at a person's home or community.  
  •  The clients have complex needs - medication, housing, vocational, independent living and mental health.  
  • The intensity for services for each client is about 10 hours per month and once we are fully up and running, we'll have a census of about 50 adults.  
  • We are preparing to also start an Adult Outpatient Program which this position would oversee as well. Eventually, this position will have all our adult programs, including IHOT.
