Mental Health Clinician Trainee

Division/Program:

(Outpatient) Modesto FSP Program

Starting Compensation:

24.00 - 25.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Modesto, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday - Friday 830am - 5:00pm (Flexible hours)

What you bring to SBHG:

  • Must be actively pursuing or have obtained a Master’s degree in child counseling, development or psychology, social services or vocational counseling or related social science field

  • (2) years of experience working in a mental/behavioral health field required.

  • Valid California Driver's License required

How you will make a difference:

  • Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of the youth and family to identify strengths and needs, to include diagnosing of clients with emotional disturbances.
  • Formulates and implements the client’s plan of care in collaboration with the Child and Family team.
  • Provides crisis intervention to youth and families as needed. Part of an after-hours crisis support on-call rotation.
  • Provides and supports others in providing case management and linkage services provided to youth and their families.
  • Documents all services provided in a clear and concise manner within the Electronic Health Record within the timelines and framework established by Central Star.
  • Completes intake documents, screeners, and assessment forms in various databases. (County EHR, agency EMR, DCR)
  • Guides services provided by the Family Specialists, Peer Mentor, and Parent Partner through the CFT meeting process.
  • Ensures proper follow up on all referrals made to both internal and external resources.
