The Opportunity

This position is a field based role in our Abbott Rapid Diagnostic Infectious Disease business unit.

As the Enterprise Account Leader – Retail Sales – Infectious Disease, you will develop and implement sales strategies for retail customers to achieve revenue, market share, and profit goals. You will manage retail sales for Abbott's Infectious Disease portfolio, including over-the-counter products (BinaxNOW) and pharmacy/clinic-based molecular testing (ID NOW).

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to accelerate growth with the largest Pharmacy retailers (Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid), Independent Pharmacy networks (Healthmart, Good Neighbor) MASS/Club (Walmart, Sams Club), ecommerce (Amazon) partners to support Abbott’s commitment to expand the decentralization and democratization of testing for consumers.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the team of Retail enterprise account executives who manage our commercial relationships and collaborate with the Infectious Disease Consumer Marketing team to deliver category management & insights for our Retail partners.

  • Effectively negotiate pricing and trade deals to drive profitable business and achieve financial targets for the Infectious Disease Retail business.

  • Responsible for collaborating with our Retail partners to develop demand forecast to ensure there is available inventory throughout the channel to support the Covid-19 and Respiratory seasonal demands of consumer testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 12+ years direct sales experience preferably in the consumer packaged goods and or rapid diagnostics industry with increasing account responsibility.

  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with proven experience in business planning, sales forecasting, and strategy development.

  • People Ability to build, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial sales team, and lead a team managing enterprise-level customers, building trust, developing strong brand equity, and delivering financial results.

  • Ability to lead, engage, and collaborate with cross-functional team members (Finance, Consumer Marketing, Global Business Services, Market Access, Government Affairs, Legal, Compliance) to drive business results, and maintain an impactful presence with regular interactions with internal and client senior-level management.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver efficient, data-driven presentations, and effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and retail portals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Preferred

  • Existing relationships with leading Pharmacy, MASS, eCommerce Health and Wellness category leaders

  • Rapid diagnostics pharmacy based testing experience, pre/post public health emergency

  • Maintain an impactful presence and be comfortable with regular interactions with internal and client senior level management.

The base pay for this position is

$127,300.00 – $254,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
