The Vice President (VP)- Production will be responsible for directing the planning, organization, and implementation of the Division's Sales, Recruiting, and Business Development activities. The VP- Production hires, directs, trains, and develops associates. In addition, this role formulates and executes the division's annual business plans, budgets, and scorecard projects that are consistent with and supportive of the Company’s annual business plan. The development and execution of plans and programs to increase sales, profits, and market share to meet or exceed revenue, gross profit, and EBITDA goals are pivotal responsibilities. This role ensures professional business relations and satisfaction with customers, third parties, and other external contacts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Team Management – 50% 

  • Manages daily operations of direct reports, ensuring they meet daily metrics and budget goals  
  • Directs team processes and procedures; ensures work is completed in accordance with Company standards 
  • Trains, develops and motivates associates to achieve desired goals  
  • Executes engagement strategies 
  • Interviews and selects candidates for hire 
  • Sets performance standards for associates; conducts annual performance evaluations; coaches associates to maximum performance 
  • Keeps senior management informed of accomplishments and/or opportunity for improvement 
  • Drives and maintains positive working rapport within internal teams 
  • Communicates divisional expectations and updates across teams 

Strategic Planning and Execution – 35% 

  • Analyzes financial performance of the division 
  • Develop and implement annual business plans and scorecard projects 
  • Manage the development of the division/team’s budget process 
  • Develops and executes plans and programs to increase sales, profits, and market share to meet or exceed revenue, gross profit, and EBITDA goals 
  • Ensures that sales activities are cost-effective, efficient and within established budget constraints 
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Company operations and systems 
  • Maintains a current knowledge of industry market trends, opportunities, and competitor analysis to support business development opportunities 
  • Assumes responsibility for developing and implementing effective pricing strategies 
  • Establishes and monitors list prices, discounting structures, commission structures, and special pricing and recommends modifications as necessary   

Customer Relationship Management – 15% 

  • Assists and supports various departments; obtains and conveys information as needed 
  • Ensures the delivery of services within established timeframes 
  • Works to exceed customer expectations 
  • Ensures that customers, third parties, and business alliances are well informed through continual feedback and communication 
  • Leverages customer relationships to further expand business development opportunities at all levels 
  • Oversees and leads teams in the development of Quarterly Business Reviews for clients 

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • May work on special projects or other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manages a team of exempt and non-exempt associates
  • Assists with budget forecasting and planning
  • Experience in developing and tracking sales KPIs to measure team performance and drive accountability
  • Communicates with external clinicians and clients

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA degree preferred, but not required
  • Proven track record of success as an individual contributor in a recruiting or sales production role
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the healthcare staffing industry
  • Proven track record of managing large sales teams and achieving significant revenue growth
  • For internal applicants: Minimum of 1 year experience as an Associate Vice President or higher
  • Experience managing or coaching both recruiting focused and sales focused production associates

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or relative CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating sales teams

  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive growth
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare staffing industry, including regulatory requirements and market trends
  • Experience in B2B sales, particularly in healthcare or staffing services
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations and proposals
  • Proficient in sales forecasting techniques to predict revenue and growth accurately
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
