An opportunity now exists for a Member Benefits Advisor to join the Member Benefits team within the Member Value and Connection division on a 12-month fixed term contract.


Reporting to the Member Benefits Manager, this role presents an exciting opportunity to grow and maximise the effectiveness of RAC’s existing and new partnerships, identifying new opportunities to grow and diversify our partner portfolio, negotiate agreements and increase engagement and awareness of our member benefits program. 


You will also play a key role in planning, developing, and executing marketing communication strategies, working closely with our partner and supplier network, internal marketing and digital teams, and external media and creative agencies to achieve marketing and business objectives. 


What will you be doing? 

  • Account management of successful partnerships including the execution of contracts, reporting, identifying new partnership opportunities and business development. 

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing initiatives with a key focus on digital channels to increase awareness and engagement of RAC’s member benefits program. 

  • Contribute to creative and media planning and executions, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and go-to-market plans.  

  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders as well as suppliers, partners, advertising and media agency representatives.  

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through competitor analysis, data-driven insights, and awareness of loyalty, marketing and media trends.  

  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of planned activity across owned and paid channels, provide recommendations for improvement, prepare reports and present on outcomes to partners and suppliers. 

  • Coordination of direct and owned channel content including eDM, print and social media and ensuring required compliance, brand and partner approvals take place. 

  • Processing invoices, reconciliation of expenses and general admin as required. 


What experience are we looking for?    

  • You work well with multiple stakeholders and are able to build and maintain positive relationships helping to support our partner portfolio and their own business objectives.  

  • You have experience in business development, communications or marketing and are able to identify opportunities to promote and activate partnerships as we work together to return value to both our members and partners. 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Experience in leveraging state and national partnerships, monitoring agreements and managing budgets. 

  • Well-developed understanding and experience in managing benefit or loyalty programs, partnerships and negotiating offers and contracts. 

  • High level of organisation, attention to detail with excellent time management skills. 

  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment, ability to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills. 

  • Experience with digital marketing channels, including Sitecore, SEM, SEO, and related analytics platforms. 

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into actionable strategies.

  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Experience in a similar role coupled with tertiary qualifications in marketing, commerce, or business and experience managing loyalty or member-based programs would be advantageous.
