Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

The work model for the role is: #L-onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Area in Mexico. Main stakeholders are the HSE Manager, Site Managers, employees, contractors, customers, and local regulatory authorities.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
• Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
• Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.

• You are highly skilled in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management practices, risk assessments, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance within an industrial or corporate environment.
• You have 2+ years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, or Industrial Hygiene.
• Experience supporting corporate offices, industrial facilities, or engineering/manufacturing environments is preferred.
• You possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience preparing reports, tracking KPIs, and maintaining HSE documentation.
• You are passionate about promoting a proactive safety culture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering HSE training and awareness programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• You are at ease communicating in English and Spanish (intermediate to advanced level).
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Mexican HSE regulations (STPS, environmental regulations, and applicable legal requirements) is preferred
