Inside the Role
The Head of Vehicle Controls & Upfit resides within the TT/S organization and leads a globally connected team across India, Germany, Portland, and Fort Mill. This role is responsible for developing and deploying global software and hardware platforms for Daimler Truck brands, with a strong focus on collaboration across regions, customer domains, and cross-functional teams. The team’s scope includes global and regional components, and future technologies for the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) like the future IO Extender. This leader will also be responsible for the CHEC team, ensuring vocational and upfit solutions are globally aligned, customer-focused, and scalable across brands. By driving innovation, harmonizing global standards, and enabling mature software and hardware handoffs to the regions, this function is central to TT/S’s ambition to make software the number one differentiator for Daimler Truck. This role will interact closely with the TT/S leadership team as well as TE and TN product strategy, vehicle development, and after sales to define strategy, implement products, and support the field.Posting Information
