As a Customer Service Operator (1-Year Fixed-Term Contract), you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring a seamless end-to-end order management experience. Reporting to the Customer Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in building strong customer relationships, managing orders from receipt to delivery, and collaborating across multiple functions to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role is based at our production site in Casella (GE), Italy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer interactions and coordinating the order fulfillment process for the domestic market. Working closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse, Sales, and Finance teams, you will ensure customers receive accurate information, timely deliveries, and high-quality service while contributing to process improvements and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Act as the first point of contact for customers, managing inquiries related to orders, deliveries, product availability, inventory, and backorders.
• Manage customer orders from receipt through delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Transport, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer and order data within ERP systems.
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Handle customer complaints, returns, and issue resolution in compliance with company procedures.
• Prepare and analyze reports to support service performance monitoring and KPI tracking.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Transport Management, and Warehouse Operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and operational efficiency.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience in Customer Service, Order Management, Supply Chain, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong customer-centric mindset with a professional and solution-oriented approach.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP SD, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or similar platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
• Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Italian and good English language skills.
• Knowledge of an additional European language is considered a plus.

We offer a gross annual salary range of €28.400 – €35.500, level range E-C according to “Gomma Plastica Industria” Italian CLA, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including:
