We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our growing finance team at Ripple! The Senior Manager - Finance will be involved in all aspects of global operations and will support critical initiatives to facilitate the expansion of the company’s financial infrastructure.

In this pivotal role, reporting to the EMEA Regional Controller, you will be immersed in all aspects of our global operations, working closely with internal and external partners at all levels. As a meticulous problem solver with exceptional business judgment, you will play a vital role in recommending solutions and driving strategic decision-making processes. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Support Accounting, Financial Operations, Treasury, and cross-functional teams for finance related matters and business needs
  • Perform and review monthly account analyses and reconciliations, including validating deferred revenue, accounts receivable and revenue financial statement balances
  • Responsible for managing multiple International entities for US GAAP and Local GAAP reporting including implementing accounting processes related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close including P and L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis, and quarterly management reports
  • Deliver finance transformation initiatives by working with the broader team in the design, testing, and roll-out of automation to finance systems/tools/processes to build for scale
  • Localize new product initiatives for local reporting requirements and system setups
  • Work with external advisors to understand new laws and regulations across EMEA and their impact on Ripple's business and structure
  • Define and implement scalable financial processes related to month-end and quarter-end close to provide highly reliable finance data output while designing and/or maintaining strong internal controls over finance processes
  • Build strong business partnerships and manage service levels agreements, including the review of work performed by outsourced parties
  • Manage the delivery of ad-hoc projects as directed by management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in a role in the Payments, Fintech, or Blockchain space
  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102
  • Prior experience of Revenue accounting guidelines, preferably in a software company
  • Track record managing projects with effective communication across departments
  • Strong written and communication skills along with the ability to influence internal and external partners

Preferred experience:

  • Experience with cross-border payments and FX
  • Financial services industry experience such as fintech, banking, or payments
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and other GAAP’s
