Overview

As a dedicated professional responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of Debit Cards Electronic Banking Systems (EBS), ATM and Retail Payment Platform, you will drive the full application lifecycle by participating in feasibility studies and translating user requirements into robust technical specifications. This role demands a balance of proactive development and operational stability, where you will build technical solutions, facilitate user acceptance testing, and manage production roll-out activities. Beyond project delivery, you will provide essential daily production support to address business user requests and ensure system reliability. As a highly motivated team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you will leverage your excellent communication abilities to bridge the gap between complex technical challenges and effective business outcomes.

1. System Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Design & Implementation: Lead the system study, design, and development for the EBS Card system, ATM, and Retail Payment Platforms, including all downstream interfaces.

  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitate user group meetings to translate business needs into technical solutions and decision-making proposals.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all system enhancements strictly align with user functional requirements and maintain high standards of stability, security, and reliability.

  • Performance Tuning: Proactively recommend production fixes and measures to improve online and batch performance.

2. Operational Excellence & Support

  • Production Support: Address daily business user requests and manage production issues in collaboration with other IT departments until resolution.

  • Business Continuity: Actively participate in IT Disaster Recovery (DRP) planning, system maintenance, and project roll-outs.

  • Documentation: Maintain all processes and methodologies in strict accordance with the Bank’s established standards.

3. Compliance & Risk Governance

  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure full compliance with internal standards (Audit & Risk) and external mandates (BNM, PayNet, Visa/Mastercard, and PCI).

  • Security Oversight: Monitor control mechanisms and escalate potential security vulnerabilities to management that are not adequately addressed by existing systems.

  • Audit Management: Handle queries and correspondences with internal/external auditors and regulatory authorities like BNM.

4. Team Coordination & Leadership Support

  • Project Liaison: Assist the Team Lead in managing technical activities, coordinating team tasks, and liaising with the Project Management Office (PMO).

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a bridge between business divisions and technical teams to ensure project transparency and alignment with Bank guidelines.

  • Managerial Support: Handle operational duties and administrative management functions as required to support team objectives.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

  • At least 3 years Debit Card related experience, working on Silverlake Electronic Banking System and related interfaces (ATM & CRT) will be an added advantage

  • Working knowledge in the following programming languages :- AS400 RPG LE/ILE, AS400 related programming language and tools

  • Working experience in development and implementation of large business applications with practices of SDLC/ ASDM methodologies in a financial institution.

  • Independent worker with good communication skills

  • Those without the necessary qualification but with relevant experience will also be considered

Special Skills

  • Skills in  IBM I-series AS400 Environment Online and Batch (CLP, RPG, WRKQRY)

  • Experience in ATM ,Security Device Driver (HSM), TCP/IP network drivers
