Otis is growing and is looking for a Trades Assistant for one of our entities located in Sydney, Australia. Your priority is to ensure the safety of lift passengers and technical stakeholders by safely installing a portfolio of elevator / escalator units.
On a typical day you will
Assist technicians on-site across all departments as required
Load and unload deliveries of equipment at the warehouse and on sites
Install new elevators with quality and efficiency
Work in a safe manner in accordance with all Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship
Conduct an inspection before and after installation to ensure high-quality and safety standards
What you will need to be successful
You have knowledge of elevator equipment and that you can apply elevator engineering principles to Installation.
Working with heights and hold a driver's license (as necessary)
Have at least 6 months of experience in the field of elevators, ideally acquired in the assembly activity or at least experience on site and/or installation
Possesses good electrical and mechanical skills.
You are comfortable with plan reading and calculations.
