• To make the design of the parts for the intended purpose in Power train – Engines
• To meet the QCD targets for parts responsible for.
• Take complete responsibility on the design on this perimeter.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
• Meet the time line as per project milestone.
• Designer need to plan their activities in their perimeter for the deliverables in each of the project milestones.
• Proactively work on different solutions of the design and propose to the management with positive and negative of each of the design with relevant technical backup.
• Proper communication across the team with clear explanation and get Global approval form corporate technical team on design intent if needed.
QUALITY:
• The designer should take care of quality requirements in addition to the functional requirements.
• Introduce “mistake Proofing” in design so that defect is prevented.
• All the design rules is to be adhered in the design of the part.
• Need to understand the part functional requirements, Sub-System requirements and the contribution of sub-system into the overall engine function.
• Designer need to understand the process by which the part is manufactured in order to introduce the mistake proofing in the design.
• The designer must be capable to perform the stack up analysis of the parts / Sub System to conform the part.
• Need to understand the drawing and tolerances.
• Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical mechanisms.
PROBLEM SOLVING SKILL:
• Designer should be capable to give the quick solutions for the concerns reported with a clear intermediate and permanent solution.
• Designer understand the engine assembly and interaction of parts with sub system and system as a whole provide feedback on design aspects for quality improvements.
• Analyze supplier reports and provide feedback to achieve zero error in design
• Good level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult that may require short period to solve.
High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively.
