As the User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer, you'll lead within your team, research and analysis, support ideation, prototyping, stakeholder engagement, validation with end-users to facilitate a process of iterative design and continuous improvement as you build out the user journey.
In this role you'll be working within a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for the end-to-end user-centred design process for projects that impact Retail Mortgage Customers.

The difference you’ll make:
Working directly with business stakeholders and product owners to fully understand requirements and facilitating team workshops and ideation sessions
Utilising appropriate UX research methods to ensure solutions are validated with users
Supporting the team, in an Agile environment, with the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure effective quality assurance of design assets and deliverables
Creating and delivering pixel perfect UI screen designs
Working with existing design layouts and element styles to create a consistent experience
Using wireframes, prototypes, style guides to effectively communicate your design ideas to the wider team
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
Practical knowledge of design tools such as, Figma, Sketch, Axure or similar
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence team members, stakeholders, and the wider business
Commercial UX experience using formal UX processes
Portfolio with commercial examples to share (if unable to share, provide a walkthrough of relevant examples)
It would also be nice for you to have:
Experience and knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
Front end knowledge of HTML and CSS

This role is based in Milton Keynes. It is a fixed term-contract until 30th July 2026.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
