The Role
The APAC Product Strategy and Development Lead will serve as Neuberger’s lead product officer for the Asia Pacific region, responsible for product strategy, development, and execution across Neuberger's investment capabilities. This role serves as a key driver of connectivity across Neuberger's investment, client coverage, and operating platforms, and plays a central role in building and driving consensus for the firm’s overall product positioning. The role serves as a member of the group’s leadership team.
The role will oversee a regionally-aligned Product Strategy & Development team that serves as an objective champion of new product ideas, building market intelligence to facilitate analysis and assessment of product opportunities from concept to implementation, and ensuring alignment with market demand, trends, and strategic business objectives for Neuberger's institutional, intermediary, and high-net worth distribution channels. Team members are responsible for all functions related to creating and maintaining a healthy product line across our equity, fixed income, and alternative investment businesses (as well as multi-asset class and ESG), with the goal of ensuring that products are successfully researched, designed, priced, positioned, launched, and supported to maximize commercial viability and impact.
The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of the competitive environment, have an informed view of industry trends, and be capable of originating and analyzing new product ideas and business plans. Specific experience driving strategic product planning is a must, as is familiarity with regulatory frameworks and client preferences in the region. They should also have a track record of driving strategic initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.
