POSITION SUMMARY 

The Associate Billing Representative will support the billing team by ensuring accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role will involve assisting with customer-specific invoicing requests, resolving billing issues, and maintaining professional relationships with customer accounts. The Associate Billing Representative will collaborate with various internal teams to support overall billing efficiency and accuracy. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Assist in ensuring all invoices are accurate and released on time according to SOPs 

  • Support customer-specific invoicing requests with the guidance of higher-level billing representatives 

  • Utilize basic problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assist in resolving invoicing issues and questions 

  • Aid accounts receivable, account team, and collections team on matters of delinquent accounts 

  • Provide support for invoicing process improvements and initiatives 

  • Maintain professional relationships with customers' Accounts Payable teams to ensure invoicing practices are aligned and current 

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED 

Preferred: 

  • Prior customer service experience 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs  

  • Previous experience with billing systems 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Positive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Basic critical thinking skills and the ability to use own judgement 

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently 

  • Effective in multitasking and prioritizing tasks 

  • Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
