About the Role

Provide leadership and direction in the areas of his/her responsibility which includes the following;
• Lead and optimize operational excellence. This role is pivotal in driving strategic transformation and embedding automation and digital capabilities to achieve operational efficiency
• Oversee the functions of providing excellent administrative support and services for the agency force in areas of contracting, compensation, benefits, contract maintenance, agent movement, re-designation of managers, span of control, retirement, resignation, termination and any other admin matters.
• Authorized and approves the payment or clawback of commissions, overrides, incentives and benefits for the distribution channel. He/she also oversees the administration process of orphan policy administration system as well as the assignment of policies to appointed servicing agent.
• Request and delivery of regular or adhoc reports relating to production, persistency, distribution profile, contest, clubs & awards, convention and other achievements from inter-departments, management, regulators and industry associations from time to time.
• Review any new regulatory framework or guidelines so as to implement any processes or procedures change to meet the new requirements within the given timeline.
• Drive projects related to Tied Distribution operational processes and involve team members to collaborate with other departments.

Champion transformation initiatives to modernize operations, including process reengineering and digital enablement. Identify and implement automation opportunities and solutions. Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget

To ensure that all compensation of agents and managers that are not system automated are paid accordingly within a scheduled timeline and whenever an appeal process is required will be well documented and managed in a timely manner. 

Review and identify current SOP/Processes that require improvement through feedback from staff, agency leaders and management so as to increase customer satisfaction, faster turnaround time, lowering cost and increase productivity through process change or technology.

Assist agents or agency managers who have complicated issues with regard to compensation, contracting, retirement, policies servicing and recognition awards to achieve a satisfactory outcome through communication, managing of expectations and resolving their issues fairly and expeditious

Develop and motivate staff to be highly effective and productive through engagement in work and providing opportunities to take up new challenges and roles.

Responsible for the day to day matters in areas of budgeting, managing GOE, review RCSA, Group reporting, regulators request, audit review, payment approvals, RNF, etc,

Drive or participate in projects that involve Tied Distribution Operations

Accountable and responsible in the delivery of outsourced support to AIA FA. Support AIA FA to execute the applicable services stipulated under the Statement of Work. Ensure the deliverables under applicable services in the Statement of Work satisfy the expected service level.

Effectively support the division in actively managing risk and compliance matters. Actions to achieve these include:

  • Support EXCO member to execute initiatives in increasing risk awareness, collaboration with constructive challenge, speaking up and learning from risk incident lessons.
  • Escalate the reporting of incidents or issues in a timely manner (per Incident Reporting Standard) and work with stakeholders to remediate.
  • Understand the risks identified and policies/standards established and implemented by the division to effectively manage the risks.
  • Attend mandatory risk and compliance training in a timely manner.
  • Support EXCO member to ensure that the computed Fair Dealing Index score for the company is within the threshold
