What you will do
As a Lead System Specialist at Johnson Controls in the Las Vegas Valley you will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
In this role you will join a dynamic and committed team to help execute multiple large security installation projects. You will work other System specialists to serve our established customer base and report directly to a hands-on System team leader.
How you will do it
Direct and monitor sold projects from start to completion
Understand, track and execute technical projects involving Servers, software, licensing, networks and system hardware
Read and interpret construction drawings.
Review project specifications to ensure bid compliance.
Monitor project budgets and communicate with team members for accurate financial management and forecasting
Create and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, billings, closeout documents, and other project-related tasks.
Manage multiple large and small projects simultaneously.
Review contracts to ensure compliance.
Work with project management team members to oversee field crew installations and subcontractors on multiple projects.
Provide support to foremen and field staff with project needs.
Visit project sites to review work and ensure safe and on-time field installations.
Visit project sites and attend or direct owners’ meetings
What we look for
Direct experience in the construction management process
Direct experience in the technical management of IT based systems
Proficient in MS office products, Bluebeam, Procore, and forecasting tools
Direct experience in integration of access control and video management systems is a plus.
Certification is a plus
