Senior Manager, Labor Planning

As the Senior Manager, Labor Planning on the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) team, you will be responsible for building and iterating on the labor planning staffing model in order to optimize hourly labor needs for FSQ.  You will lead continuous improvement efforts to make the models more accurate and keep up with the changing business demands.  You will lead process development to ensure effective sign off and approvals of all labor decisions.  You will build cohort models to determine the optimal shift-schedules required by team and location.  You will work cross functionally within FSQ and with partnering teams to build the model and support the FSQ team in exceeding the labor planning targets. 

 

You will...

  • Employ a data driven approach to building and managing the FSQ labor planning system.  
  • Advocate for FSQ staffing needs, including managing internal and external stakeholders, and communicating FSQ needs effectively
  • Own the annual and quarterly budget and forecasting process
  • Understand all input metrics, including those required by other teams
  • Lead continuous improvement projects around FSQ labor planning data inputs, processes, approvals, and consistency with like teams
  • Partner with FSQ leaders, HR, and other cross functional stakeholders to understand and hire to the needs of the models & business
  • Validate your work to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct ROI analysis to support in determining go forward strategies and direction
  • Manage special projects such as wage adjustments and schedule balancing
  • Travel as needed
  • Other projects as assigned

You bring....

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or relevant field
  • 3+ years Fulfillment Operations / Manufacture Operations /Demand Planning (scheduling, planning, forecasting, performance measurements)
  • Superior communication; able to cultivate collaborative relationships across all levels
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with complex variables in situations, navigating ambiguity 
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint in addition to the Google Suite of products
