How you’ll make an impact
Ensuring compliance with Swiss occupational safety, health and environmental regulations and implementing Hitachi Energy policies and standards for the operating unit Wettingen
Supporting and consulting of all hierarchical levels in their tasks regarding occupational safety, health and environmental management
Conducting opportunity and risk analyses and implementing necessary measures together with all stakeholders
Promoting the quality and safety culture and implementing Hitachi Energy employee engagement programs in strong collaboration with the local & HUB HSE Team including conducting training at all hierarchy levels following the Wettingen HSE competence Matrix
Investigation and communication of accidents and implementation of appropriate measures to prevent further accidents
Planning and conducting internal and external audits regarding ISO 9001/45001& compliance with Hitachi Energy Group internal HSE standards
Prepare implement the Yearly Site HSE Plan as well as other HSE-related documentation such as the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan
Produce reports for Project Reviews, both internal and Customer, and attend the Project Review meetings to ensure the Hitachi Energy HSE Operating System remains suitable, adequate, and effective
Review HSE documentation from all Hitachi Energy subcontractors and support subcontractors to meet internal and external HSE requirements
Your background
Bachelor’s degree or training with an mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering background
Professional HSE certification based on Swiss legislation is a must
Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE roles within a process manufacturing environment
Proven ability to draft HSE technical documentation
Solid knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work effectively in global teams
Self-driven, proactive, and collaborative mindset
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
