The Certified Nuclear Pharmacy Technician at BAMF Health plays a critical role in supporting the

production and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals, advancing our mission to accelerate access to

precision medicine. This position encompasses all aspects of radiopharmaceutical

manufacturing, including cyclotron operation, synthesis unit management, aseptic

manipulations, and quality control testing using techniques such as HPLC, GC, and TLC.

Additionally, the role includes radiolabeling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and

investigational use.

Working closely with the radiopharmacy team, the Technician ensures the accurate and efficient

production of high-quality radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to regulatory and quality

standards. By combining technical expertise with a focus on safety and precision, this role

directly contributes to BAMF Health’s transformative impact on patient care through precision

medicine.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Perform duties specific to:

    • Production of radionuclides

    • Preparation and testing of radiopharmaceuticals

    • Dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals

  • Exemplify compliance with all regulatory commitments including the cGMP, Radiation Safety, Pharmacy laws and corporate policies and procedures and other applicable Federal, State and Local authorities

  • Work in ISO 7 cleanroom to make product vials and customer vials for use in drug production

  • Perform environmental and personnel monitoring in ISO 5, ISO 7, and ISO 8 environments

  • Coordinate daily production run schedule based on patient and operational needs

  • Demonstrate strong documentation practices, oral communication, and writing skills. Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including maintenance of daily production records, report preparation and maintenance records

  • Manage Inventory (includes receiving materials, properly inspecting materials for use, and maintaining proper cycle counts)

  • Perform daily radiation safety tasks, along with general lab cleaning

  • Ensure site is clean, orderly and a safe working environment

  • Provide exemplary customer service, including telephone support and customer visits as necessary

  • Support team member training and staff development

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification in Michigan required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Associates in science related field preferred

  • GMP or GLP experience preferred

  • Familiarity with cleanroom processes as they relate to gowning and cleaning preferred

  • Nuclear Pharmacy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Radiation safety, and/or familiarity with cyclotron processes preferred

Schedule Details:

Hours: 8 hour shift with start time between 11 p.m.- 1:00 a.m.

Days: Monday to Friday, with potential weekend rotations depending on business need (day off during week if working a weekend day)
