The Administrative Coordinator serves in the Division of Student Affairs (DSA). Coordinates and manages offices activities and workflow processes to ensure smooth efficient operations. Performs administrative support duties. Makes work related decisions in accordance with existing polices and procedures. Oversees the work activities of lower level support personnel. This individual is responsible for responding to phone and email inquiries from prospective students. The Administrative Coordinator will assist with on-campus DSA programs and workshops when necessary. May perform designated duties of immediate supervisor during periods of absence.

Daily Operations

  • Administers and coordinates department activities, office services and the work activities of lower level support personnel.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of office procedures and work schedules.  Plans, schedules and facilitates meetings.
  • Acts as liaison with other departments, faculty, staff, students and external organizations and responds to inquires regarding department policies, procedures and functions.
  • May participates in the hiring, disciplining, termination and evaluation of assigned support staff.
  • Composes, formats and types correspondence using PC applications including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Monitors, complies and interprets department budgetary and financial items and grant specifications.
  • Manage admissions phone and email inquiries from prospective students for various academic programs 
  • Utilizes Work Day Information System
  • Assist in planning, allocation and monitoring of fiscal, physical, human and technological resource
  • Develop web presence for role/services
  • Formulate system to solicit feedback from internal and external customers
  • Work proactively to accomplish tasks and communicate accomplishments to supervisor;
  • Formulate policies and procedures for the program
  • Assist with the development of programs for students
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of relevant experience
