Job Summary:

To collaborate in the supervision and coordination of daily business, clinical, and administrative operations in an assigned area. To supervise and monitor the implementation of departmental policies and procedures supporting university goals and objectives.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or related field and three (3) years of related experience, one (1) of which must have been in a supervisory position or equivalent combination of education/experience which includes one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily business, clinical, and administrative operations in an assigned area.
  • Implements policies and procedures designed to maximize patient care and quality service standards; resolves billing practice problems.
  • Supervises employees to include work allocation, training, evaluation, and problem resolution.
  • Collaborates with other personnel to resolve patient care issues, improve cost containment, increase productivity, and meet demands.
  • Monitors and conveys changes in applicable federal, state, and university policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares and submits applicable reports; creates and maintains relevant files and databases.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, constant sitting, occasional standing, frequent twisting, and occasional walking.
