The Extrusion Technician I is responsible for the production of high-quality medical device components using extrusion processes. This includes operating and maintaining extrusion equipment, handling raw materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion machinery to produce tubing and other components.
• Handle raw materials: obtain, dry, and manage logistics.
• Collect tubing using various methods (e.g., conveyor, winding).
• Accurately label and package finished products.
• Complete and maintain detailed production documentation.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including clean-room protocols.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or clean-room environment is a plus.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Must be able to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols 

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in extrusion or similar manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, cGMP, FDA, or USDA regulations.
• Experience with metrology tools (e.g., laser mic, tool scope).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
