THE ROLE

The Toledo Complex includes both the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center, and this role provides operational support across both locations. The Catering Attendant supports catering operations by assisting with event preparation, setup, service, and cleanup while ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in maintaining, organizing, and cleaning all catering equipment.
  • Ensure all event signage is properly displayed.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and catering areas as assigned by the Catering Supervisor or Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Set glassware, silverware, dinnerware, and additional event necessities according to event specifications.
  • Maintain catered areas in a clean, sanitary, and organized condition throughout events.
  • Serve guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of catering areas following events.
  • Support overall event operations while maintaining high guest-service standards.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, banquet service standards, guest relations, and hospitality etiquette preferred.
  • Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including frequent reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates throughout the Toledo Complex, including warehouse, dock, storage, kitchen, concessions, and event spaces. Team members may work indoors and outdoors depending on event needs. The role may require exposure to varying temperatures, including coolers, freezers, outdoor weather conditions, and high-volume event environments.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS

All team members are expected to practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.

Team members must:

  • Operate equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Clean spills and hazards promptly.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Report all workplace injuries and illnesses in the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day the incident is reported.
