Xylem’s Evoqua Water Technologies business unit offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, products, and services in the field of advanced water and wastewater treatment. Our largest Evoqua site in Germany is located in Günzburg, where around 220 employees develop and manufacture state-of-the-art systems for chlorine-based water disinfection, online measurement and control technology, as well as ultra-pure water systems for laboratory and industrial applications.

We are currently seeking an International Sales Representative (m/f/d) – Laboratory Ultra Pure Water Systems

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage international sales channels, including distributors, resellers, and system integrators, while building long-term strategic partnerships
  • Proactively screen and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to expand the global footprint of the Ultra Pure Water business
  • Plan, lead, and close complex commercial and technical negotiations with customers, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Present the full portfolio of Ultra Pure Water treatment systems and solutions to international customers while ensuring a clear understanding of customer needs, technical requirements, and business expectations
  • Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing initiatives in close collaboration with internal departments to achieve revenue, profitability, and market growth targets
  • Prepare technical, solution-oriented standard and project quotations in close coordination with engineering, product management, and other specialist departments through to successful order closure
  • Manage and coordinate the complete sales cycle for international project business, from opportunity identification to final contract award
  • Prepare regular short- and mid-term sales forecasts, pipeline analyses, and revenue projections to support strategic business planning
  • Monitor international market developments, competitive activities, and customer trends to derive proactive business measures and sustainable growth strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a professional customer experience and successful project execution

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable qualification with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in Ultra Pure Water treatment systems as well as applications within medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or comparable high-purity environments
  • Strong background in international business development, technical sales, or channel management
  • Solid knowledge of CRM and business management software, ideally Dynamics, Salesforce, or comparable systems
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and solution-oriented mindset combined with excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities into sustainable revenue streams
  • High willingness to travel internationally, including multi-day business trips within the sales territory
  • Fluent English skills; additional languages are considered a strong advantage
  • High commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends, technologies, and market demands
  • Strong team orientation and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse international functions and cultures
  • Results-driven personality with clear target focus, commercial awareness, and efficient execution capabilities
