The Procurement Operations Manager will lead Procurement Operations for several plants and ensure needs are being answered in the most efficient way.
She/He will work along and challenge Category Managers, COE and Procurement Ops leads from APAC to guarantee plant continuity through the supply of Directs: raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and Indirects including MRO (goods and services) to plants. Its main responsibilities is to deliver best value from suppliers, implement procedures to simplify ways of work and connect and align P2P practices according to the Procurement Policy between the Plant Leadership team, Global Procurement and Category Managers.
As responsible for the local Procurement resources, the manager will provide direction to implement the agreements of preferred suppliers’ selection as result of the category strategy.
The role will be responsible for Procurement service level provide to all plants measured through KPI’s aligned with Operations and Suppliers, in compliance with Ingredion’s policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assure supply of raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and MRO for our manufacturing facilities through demand planning activities to properly allocate volume with our supplier mix.
- Participate in the Country Leadership Team meetings to identify needs, opportunities and risks from the procurement standpoint.
- Identify needs and opportunities for value creation
- Promote people and talent development by identifying high performers and high potential and succession plan
- Lead the implementation of a standard P2P process within designated APAC plants in alignment with the Procurement Policy.
- Create training material to onboard new team members
- Leverage cost efficiency for Tail spend through agreements
- Implement the Supplier Relationship Management program according to the strategy dictated by Category managers.
- Lead partnership with the COE & P2P team to identify, execute and consolidate standardization opportunities to leverage cost efficiency among plants.
- Develop work plans, identify data needs, and successfully interpret analytic insights.
Qualified candidates will have:
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with the Sourcing Process and Operations & Project Management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized, and excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to effectively lead/influence key stakeholders and motivate a team.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA Preferred
