The Opportunity

We’re hiring a highly skilled CNC Turning Machinist who can step into a fast-paced, precision machining environment and make an immediate impact.

This is not an entry-level position — we’re looking for an individual who understands machining fundamentals, thrives on producing quality parts, and enjoys working with advanced technology and equipment.

You’ll be part of a growing manufacturing team that values autonomy, accuracy, and pride in getting the job done right the first time.

Location: Alexandria, MN

Job Type: Full-time

Shift:  Monday – Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm

Pay: $23 - $33/hour

What You’ll Do

  • Operate CNC Turning Machines – Set up and operate CNC equipment, including tooling selection, fixture setup, and machine offsets.

  • Read Technical Drawings – Interpret blueprints, job travelers, and production specifications to manufacture accurate parts.

  • Make Program Adjustments – Perform minor edits to CNC programs and adjust feeds and speeds to optimize production.

  • Inspect for Quality – Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Troubleshoot Issues – Identify machining or tooling issues and resolve them to maintain productivity and minimize downtime.

  • Maintain Production Documentation – Track output and accurately record production and inspection data.

  • Deburr and Finish Parts – Utilize deburring tools such as drill presses, hand files, and rotary burrs to ensure parts meet specifications.

  • Maintain a Safe Workspace – Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Collaborate with the Team – Work closely with supervisors, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement.

Who We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certification preferred.

  • Experience operating CNC turning machines (2+ years preferred).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

  • Basic understanding of CNC programming edits, including Mazatrol or G-code.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Willingness to work overtime as production demands require.
