St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne has extended its trusted, state of the art health care services to Melbourne’s west, and our Werribee facility has been open since January 2018. St Vincent's Private Werribee is a not-for-profit, private Catholic hospital.  We provide you with the highest quality healthcare, modern facilities and the latest technology.

St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee is the newest hospital to open under the umbrella of St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne, a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.

The services available in our Werribee private hospital include orthopaedic, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions.  Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory and a rehabilitation gymnasium. 

We have currently have Part-Time opportunities available for Hospital Medical Officers

The successful applicant will be responsible for;

  • Admission and assistance with the ongoing management of patients in consultation with the admitting specialist and/or nursing staff

  • Ensuring that accurate and relevant patient documentation including progress notes and treatment sheets are completed.

  • Communication of such assessment of management decisions to the appropriate VMP, medical staff and nursing staff involved in their patient’s medical care.

It is essential that the successful applicant has the following;

  • Medical Practitioner unconditionally registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Completion of internship training, predominantly in major teaching hospitals (i.e. post-graduate year 2 and above)

  • Clinical Privileges approved through Medical Advisory Committee

  • Appropriate professional Medical indemnity
